SCHOOL VISITS

Goals

When I visit a school, I hope to:

• tell what my life as an author is like, and bring out the inner-author in each student;
  
• share my excitement about reading and writing;
  
• answer that persistent question, “Where do you get your ideas?” and help kids tune in to their own writing ideas;
  
• show that rewriting and revising are part of the process of writing and illustrating.
